1. GO Kart:
A go kart sometimes known as a “go-cart” or just kart is a small four-wheeled vehicle. Go-karts come in all shapes and forms, from motorless models to high-powered racing machines, some, like Superkarts, being able to beat racing cars on long circuits.
They are propelled by gravity, with some races taking place down a single hill. Gravity racers, usually referred to as Soap Box Derby carts, are the simplest type of go-karts Amusement park go-karts can be powered by 4-stroke engines or electric motors, while racing karts use small 2-stroke or 4-stroke engines. Most of them are single seater but recreational models can sometimes accommodate a passenger.
2. Automatic Wheel Chair:
A Motorized wheelchair, power chair and electric wheelchair is a wheelchair that is propelled by means of an electric motor rather than manual power. Motorized wheelchairs are useful for those unable to propel a manual wheelchair or who may need to use a wheelchair for distances or over terrain which would be fatiguing in a manual wheelchair. They may also be used not just by people with ‘traditional’ mobility impairments, but also by people with cardiovascular and fatigue based conditions.
The electric-powered wheelchair was invented by George Klein. Power chair chassis may also mount a kerb-climber, a powered device to lift the front wheels over a kerb of 10 cm or less. The electric motors of power chairs are usually powered by 12 to 80 ampere-hour rechargeable deep-cycle batteries, the smaller batteries are used in pairs to give the chair enough power to last at least one day between charges. Controllers are most commonly an arm-rest mounted joystick which may have additional controls to allow the user to tailor sensitivity or access multiple control modes. The wheel chairs are also available as remote based and sensor based.
3. Motor Powered Lifting Jack:
The project works on the mechanism of converting rotary motion of the wiper motor into reciprocating motion of the hydraulic jack plunger. A cylinder cage structure of wiper motor ensures maximum power delivered by consuming the available battery power which can be easily generated. Important thing is that the power is available at any instant and anyone can withdraw easily, without any hazard. A hydraulic jack is a jack that uses a liquid to push against a piston. This is based on Pascal’s Principle. The principle states that pressure in a closed container is the same at all points.
4. Automatic Scrap Collecting Machine:
The intention of this mechanical engineering project is to fabricate a scrap collecting robot. Since complete automation is very complex and even research facilities haven’t come up with one, you better design one that is operated via a remote control which is either wireless or not.This is a working project and as usual requires the help of electronics students for the control systems. The automatic scrap collecting machine is designed to remove iron scraps from the work station to the disposal area with the help of Magnet and electronic sensors and a rail. The use of this automated vehicle system reduces human efforts and the chances of hazard.
The collecting work station consists of the work room, two conveyors and iron shattering machine. The big iron scraps from the work area is collected by a conveyor and is brought to a iron shattering machine to reduce its size. This shattered iron scraps are brought away from the machine to the rail module through a conveyor for disposal.
5. Moving Bridge:
A movable bridge is a bridge that moves to allow passage for boats and barges. An advantage of making moving bridges movable includes lower price due to the absence of high piers and long approaches. The principle disadvantage is that traffic on the bridge must be halted when it is opened for passages. For the small bridge movement may be enabled without the need for an engine. Some bridges are operated by users especially those with the boats, other by a bridge man, a few remotely using video cameras and loudspeakers. Generally the bridges are powered by electric motors whether operating winches, gearing or hydraulic pistons while movable bridges in their entirely may be quite long the length of the movable portion is restricted by engineering and cost consideration to a few hundred feet.
6. Fabrication of Automatic Pneumatic Cutter:
The manually operated machine is converted into pneumatically operated machine by applying proper design procedure.
7. Drilling Dept Controlling System:
Drilling machine can be defined as an instrument which is used to drill holes. Drilling machine plays an important role in mechanical workshops. The purpose of this project work is to get hold of complete information pertaining to drilling machines. A drilling machine comes in many shapes and sizes, from small hand-held power drills to bench mounted and finally floor-mounted models.
8. Hybrid Car:
A hybrid vehicle is a vehicle that uses two or more distinct power sources to move the vehicle. The term most commonly refers to hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), which combine an internal combustion engine and one or more electric motors.
However, other mechanisms to capture and use energy may also be included. A hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is a type of petrol vehicle and electric vehicle which combines a conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) propulsion system with an electric propulsion system.
The presence of the electric power train is intended to achieve either better fuel economy than a conventional vehicle or better performance. There are a variety of HEV types, and the degree to which they function as EVs varies as well. The most common form of HEV is the hybrid electric car, although hybrid electric trucks (pickups and tractors) and buses also exist.
9. Pick And Place Robot:
In the project the pick and place robot is controlled by a mobile phone that makes a call to the mobile phone attached to the robot. In the course of a call, if any button is pressed a tone corresponding to the button pressed is heard at the other end called ‘Dual Tone Multiple frequency’ (DTMF) tone. The robot receives these tones with help of phone stacked in the robot. The received tone is processed by the microcontroller with the help of DTMF decoder.
10. Spy Robot:
The RF based spy robot which involves wireless camera. so that from this we can examine rivals when it required. This robot can quietly enter into enemy area and sends us the information via wireless camera. On the other hand one more feature is added in this robot that is color sensor. Colour sensor senses the color of surface and according to that robot will change its color.
Because of this feature this robot can’t easily detected by enemies. The movement of this robot is wirelessly controlled by a hand held RF transmitter to send commands to the RF receiver mounted on the moving robot. Since human life is always Valuable, these robots are the substitution of soldiers in war areas. This spy robot can also be used in star hotels, shopping malls, jewelry show rooms, etc where there can be threat from intruders or terrorists.
